Chen spent 10 years at Tesla scaling the supply chain through 100x growth, managing a team over $1.2B in annual spend across 50+ global suppliers. He saw first-hand how manufacturing remained constrained by siloed systems, fragmented data, and tribal knowledge despite decades of technology investment. He believes the rise of LLMs has finally brought manufacturing to an inflection point — and founded FASTOS to bring modern AI infrastructure to one of the world’s most underserved industries.

When Chen approached him about manufacturing AI, he saw the chance to pair deep AI expertise with strong domain knowledge to drive real transformation in factories — with two best friends of 20+ years doing it together.
